The clever, solar-powered welding mask features 2 light sensors that control the two settings of the innovative LCD shutter. In the default, ‘clear’ setting, the shutter has a darkening of only three levels, so you have a good view of the workpiece and can locate the welding points. When you start welding and the light sensors detect the arc, the LCD shutter will automatically switch to the ‘dark’ setting (11 levels of darkening) within 0.5 ms to protect your eyes from the harmful infrared and UV rays. After welding, the screen returns to the default setting so you can check your welds. The helmet works on solar energy.
