With the knife sharpener from Richardson Sheffield is very easy to keep your kitchen knives razor sharp. Place the knife sharpener on a flat surface and run the kitchen knives along the hard steel sharpening cut. The name says it all, this knife sharpener has 3 functions:
- The diamond cut – preparation – for applying a new cutting edge to the knife, so for really completely blunt knives
- The tungsten sharpening cut – for sharpening blunt knives – pull the knife through the sharpening cut several times
- The ceramic sharpening cut – for knives that need to be slightly sharper – pass the knife once through the sharpening cut
Depending on the bluntness of the knife, start with one of the three steps. If you start at step 1 then you must also follow the next steps. The knife sharpener has an non-slip base, so it always stands firmly. The knife sharpener is not suitable for sharpening knives with a serrated blade and/or a coating.
